Tamil Names - towards extinction?

Tamil is a beautiful language, enriched with meanings. Many of us are forgetting our origin. We often shorten our names, altogether demolishing the beautiful meaning hidden within it. Some of us, may even be shameful of traditional names, and hence calls yourself with a glamorous name. I would like to unveil the meanings of some Tamil names, which I think are almost extinct. Such names are now only available in ancient Tamil literatures. Be proud of our original names, be genuine. Even when some names might sound like crap, but actually it has beautiful meaning.
